Continuing education in 2009 was extremely interesting:
In May I took a seminar with the NC Reflexology Association about Facial Reflexology. So now it's time to practice. Please let me know if you are interested in letting me use you as a guinea pig. All we need is a little extra time during your appointment.

My educational travels in 2009 brought me also to the Baltic Sea. I visited the island of Ruegen where the signature treatment is a mineral rich chalk treatment from the chalk which is harvested on the island. My skin was so soft and silky - it was devine.
I put a cup of that chalk in my last batch of confetti soap.
Earlier CE's brought me also to Europe. One time for a Hawaiian Massage workshop called Lomi-Lomi. There is just nothing more gentle than this kind of massage.
Here is a photo of our workshop participants.
One of my favorite places in NC to take professional or community Classes is the Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy.
Here I took a workshop in 2008 about massage with herbal bundles.
In 2007 they offered a class where I learned a lot of new facial strokes.
2006 was the year I went to the Campbell School of Folk Art in Brasstown NC to learn how to make natural soaps.
What a great new hobby this one is now to me.
Hot Stone Facial Massage I took in 2005. This one has not been my favorite. Not that I think it is bad for your skin, I am just more of a "hands on" person and decided not to offer this form of massage.
Also in 2005 I took a wonderful workshop with Cynthia Loving from www.lovingscents.com about Aromatherapy. If you ever look for real essential oils and you need someone to talk and give you information about a specific oil, this is the address in NC. Cynthia travels all over the globe to find the best herbs and plants to make her essential oils.
Hopefully one day I'll be able to take all her classes and become certified in aromatherapy.
